Warranty services (LAPTOP)
1. Scope of Warranty Service
- DOA/Return/Replacement Period –
- Within 7 days from the date of purchase, if any manufacturing defect is noticed or any hardware problem occurs on the product, you can choose to return/replace the product at one time based on the actual invoice price.
- Product purchased through E-commerce platform (Online), you can return the product within 07 days or as per Online platform policy from the day when the product is received, if any manufacturing defect is noticed or any hardware problem occurs of the product, based on other terms and conditions of Online Sale Platform. Only in a condition when the product is not used, and all the supplied products/accessories/BOX are in perfect condition.
- DOA/Return/Replacement Guide
- THOMSON authorised service center will issue DOA certificate to the end customer after validation of the product.
- Problems related to manufacturing defects in the hardware will only be considered for DOA.
- In case product purchase from retail store/ dealer the DOA certificate or replacement will be issued to the customer by respective retailer/dealer, after validation of the product by the service center.
- For the product purchased from the online store, please apply for return/replacement according to the policy of E-commerce partner.

The Product and Accessories must be complete as supplied in original. The Box package must not be tampered. Original Purchase Invoice is required. Any other supplied Accessories, offer (If applicable)
2. Warranty services
- Limited Warranty Period (Laptops):
- The warranty defined for laptop is 12 months from the actual date of purchase by the customer, the warranty for battery and adapter supplied along with the original laptop also stands for 12 months.
- The warranty of the product will only be considered from the date of Purchase of the product through a valid original invoice from authorised seller of the company.
- In case customer is unable to provide a valid invoice then the warranty start date will be considered from 90 days of manufacturing date of the product as per company database or mentioned on the box.
- The accessories replaced in the warranty period, will be considered for warranty as per remaining warranty of the product.

- Standard warranty on laptop, Battery, and Charger (original supplied) is 1 year. Limited
Warranty of 06 months applicable on Supplied Accessory by OEM like Cable, Headphone. (No
Warranty for any Bundled Gift supplied by any Sales Channel)
- Any kind of Repair Services on the Laptops will be provided at Authorised Service Centers only.
- Customer can opt for postal/courier services to get their device repaired or can Walkin to the nearest Service centre at their own cost.
- Customer is responsible to take back of of their personal data before submitting the device for repairs to the Service Centers.
- Customer must carry the Original Invoice while submitting the device for repairs.
- Repair Terms and Condition
- Warranty period for parts replaced/repaired in a laptop including accessories (Battery, Adapter and Power cord) is applicable for limited 90-days warranty period.
- Customer can get all the guidelines and scope of limited warranty process by Authorized Service Center staff.
- Out of warranty Scope (Laptop accessories).
- The warranty of the product is valid and applicable in India where the product is purchased by the customer, the product sold in India is not eligible for any international warranty service unless specified.
- Below damages are not covered under warranty:
- Normal wear and tear of the product or for the cosmetic parts.
- Use of product other than Normal use or other than user guidelines causing any damage is not covered.
- Any kind of unauthorized disassembly, repair, alteration, or modification being carried out will not be considered.
- Any kind of misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident caused to the product is not considered under warrant.
- Self maintenance, Improper testing, operation, installation, or any alternation or modification of the product;
- Spillage of food or liquid, corrosion, rust or the use of wrong voltage;
- Any undue over Charging, accident or negligible use;
- Natural calamity like typhoon, flood, earthquake and situation like War and Fire;
- Any kind of scratches, colour fade or damage to plastic surface to any of the cosmetic / external parts due to customer use;
- External connection to a device: (1) not endorsed by THOMSON; (2) not fit for use with the product; (3) Not compatible with the product.
- THOMSON has right to determine whether a product is “Out of Warranty” at the company’s discretion according to the standards listed above. Repair of “Out of Warranty” products shall be separately quoted by the THOMSON service center. All additional related cost incurred
(without limitation to spare parts cost, maintenance cost etc.) shall be borne by the Buyer.
- For replacement of parts of the unit by the Service Center, this warranty will thereafter continue and will be applicable only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Time taken for repair and in transportation whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
- As per request from authorized service center/THOMSON, the costumer may be required to provide the Purchase invoice, other documentation or information related to product.
- In the following events the warranty will be considered null and void:
- If the product serial number, or the warranty seal has been removed, erased, defaced, altered or is illegible, If any accessory or external part of the product is missing.
- Any terms contained in this warranty has been altered or modified in without prior written consent of THOMSON.
- THOMSON has not been notified by the consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the product during the applicable warranty period.
3 Other information
- The preceding clauses only apply to THOMSON products (Laptop) sold in India.
- Warranty services are applicable to models launched in India, which refers to the notices posted on the official website.
- THOMSON is not responsible for any other commitments or offers that are not guaranteed by THOMSON and made by the seller to the customer.
